Road workers not working

Yet another thread gone south *looks for a concrete wall to bang my head against*

lookoutas, Jun 16, 1:47am
Bugga off johnf - it suits ya.
Posters have referred to me as 'lookie' and I couldn't give one. I always refer to xacoon as 'coon' for simplicity, and I know he doesn't give one either.
Remember that guy we often called 'hrp'! It was much easier to type, just as johnf is. Having to do an underscore + 3 digits is just a pain in the ass.

You've just hi-jacked another thread to exercise your own idiosyncrasies. I did think Pete went a bit OTT, coz he should have ignored you - and refrained from using some of the words he was thinking. You're doing it all again to someone else!
And don't pick on posters typing & grammar skills - you're not too flash yourself.

johnf_456, Jun 16, 2:03am
My spelling and grammar can be fine when I want it to be, but I type in a hurry so I often don't read it over again. But you may also like to watch you're own also, I just searched your nickname and I can see some mistakes (hint hint).Like I said use the quote function or even copy and paste if its too hard. I made one comment but smac would not acknowledge it so yup I will re enforce it, everyone has their own preference on what names they call people. I am just very old school and I always try to use the correct names unless they are specifically ok with it.

If you want to argue then go for it, but I will reserve my right to pass a comment on using correct names to be polite. However if you want to argue about it go for it.

The road workers got to put with quite bita crap ,from dkheads speeding through road works etc, they must feel like draging a few outa there cars ,and giving them a slap. The guys doing the work ,only do what the engineers and consultants tell them.

lookoutas, Jun 16, 2:21am
Not interested in wasting any more of my time thankyou john.

bbq-bro, Jun 16, 2:23am
come on jo bit off topic mate

johnf_456, Jun 16, 2:23am
Ta, once again johnf_456.

neville48, Jun 16, 3:35am
you have the general manager, the clerk of works, the architect, the site superviser, the production planner, the draughtie, the foreman, the leading hand, the health and safety officer , the osh representative and the guy on the digger filling the pothole, whats wrong with that then !

jarrod261, Jun 16, 4:05am
You cant do much while a machine like a digger is working.
When the digger stops we start.

big.b-lil.c, Jun 16, 1:27pm
those dam people using the road may wake a road shirker up from his nap

_peas, Jun 16, 1:51pm
Honestly "John" I couldn't see why you copped so much grief on these boards.I mean you almost seem picked on for no reason. It has become clearer to me now.If you want to get anal over something so minor (you obviously knew that you were being referred to as John as you replied right!) you're probably not cut out for social interaction.Try taking a chill pill and lighten up.Even Jazz copped sh!t when he first started preaching about the virtues of the euro cars but now he is "Jazz", I would say fairly respected if not agreed with so often.

On topic. walk a day in someones shoes.

sr2, Jun 16, 4:34pm
Well said. Some people will never get their head around the fact that respect is not a god given right, it is something that is earned!

sr2, Jun 16, 4:42pm
Back to the topic, my beef is with the ???road works??? that appear for weeks on end as signage and a speed restriction only. They are usually accompanied by a guy with a radar gun collecting revenue like his life depended on it!

johnf_456, Jun 16, 4:57pm
Thanks for that but you have not listened to a word I have said, it is johnf_456 not john. John is not my name so if you are going to be respectful use the correct name for a start not some name you feel like calling me. So how longer do you want to argue about it, I will make this thread 4 pages if you want to. Its courtesy to, there is manypeople here with the name john.
I want to be on topic just as much as you are but if people blatant deaf then I will do it what it takes to not make up nicknames as you go.
TA

helpless, Jun 16, 5:15pm
Blame Health and Safety. They're the ones with all the power these days.,,Road workers, traffic control just follow their guidelines.,,Half the reason you see so many people on a site these days. All about saving the public from there own stupidity or being seen to try and save them even when the risk of injury to them is practically zero.

deanfreeman, Jun 16, 5:17pm
goto ozzy its worse there they so slack one guy doing the work ie shovling gravel and ten orso guy standing with thier finger up thier arse watching seen that alot over there

r15, Jun 16, 6:57pm
cheers for filling up my thread with pointless arguements again john / johnf / whatever

johnf_456, Jun 16, 7:07pm
No problem, once again johnf_456. Ta

jaydeesnr, Jun 16, 9:38pm
You keep saying "nickname" johnf_456 but it is really a nondeplume you have given youself. Nicknames are generally given to you by other people and l can assure you that yours is something totally different, just from the people l know that used to enjoy browsing the MB.

woody1946, Jun 16, 9:43pm
Anyone calls me 'woody' and I'll scream !

sr2, Jun 16, 9:44pm

elect70, Jun 16, 9:58pm

lookoutas, Jun 17, 12:20am
Noticed that a couple of weeks back.
Bit hard to get the fingers around some of those Maori names isn't it! But that's pretty good.

pge, Jun 17, 12:47am
