OP read various reviews and speak to people who own Euro vehicles. I would definitely consider buying a Passat or Octavia but I'm wanting another small wagon so am looking at buying a Golf wagon. I will only buy one that has the full service records as I want a wagon that has been well looked after. However I would be doing regardless of buying a Euro or a Jap vehicle.

Apparently surprisingly frugal- Their engines are very torquey.If other large FWD Mitsis are anything to go by, probably a bit floaty but if you aren't in the habit of pushing hard when driving, that sort of suspension tune is preferable for the familys sake!

Buy a Mercedes Benz, with the biggest engine you can afford to run. Be different. Have fun. Feel special. It'll pay you back with a smile on your dial every time you drive.

True that, but easily sorted with a new set of after market shocks. The award winning engine makes up for the other shortcomings.
