OP read various reviews and speak to people who own Euro vehicles.
I would definitely consider buying a Passat or Octavia but I'm wanting another small wagon so am looking at buying a Golf wagon.
I will only buy one that has the full service records as I want a wagon that has been well looked after. However I would be doing regardless of buying a Euro or a Jap vehicle.

Apparently surprisingly frugal- Their engines are very torquey.If other large FWD Mitsis are anything to go by, probably a bit floaty but if you aren't in the habit of pushing hard when driving, that sort of suspension tune is preferable for the familys sake!

either the VE Commodore or Fairmont both good cars. just a matter of preference

Buy a Mercedes Benz, with the biggest engine you can afford to run. Be different. Have fun. Feel special. It'll pay you back with a smile on your dial every time you drive.

True that, but easily sorted with a new set of after market shocks. The award winning engine makes up for the other shortcomings.
