Hmmm a good fwd dosn't bother me for towing (within reason, and I do see your point). What I do find though, is if you tow a big caravan with a Multi the shape of the back of the car against the front of the caravan creates a buffeting which is annoying (feels like someone gently and rhythmically applying the brakes on the trailer). In that case, sure I would take the Granvia if I had both in the driveway.
Perhaps I have just got used to towing with fwd as its been years since I had a RWD that I towed with.
One thing I would have for towing above all else though if given the choice is "trailer stability control", that is magic when things go wrong!
But sadly its out of this price point and vehicle type, although some cars with it are becoming more affordable. You do have to make sure your towbar wiring is setup right though.
