Buyers are liars

I have dealt with some really good car dealers, and credit myself with enough common sense to walk away from the bad ones. But there is one practice they all seem to embrace which really gets up my nose, and that is sending buyers on their way with the fuel tank just slightly above empty. Doesn't seem to matter if the buyer haggled or not. I don't expect them to fill the tank at today's prices, but a useable amount would be nice, instead of having to look for a service station straight away.
