Ring Giltrap Commercial Spares in Hornby, Chch or A-One Auto parts in Gasson Street, Chch. A-One would be a good choice - they have got into distmantling/repairing Rodeos etc so certainly worth a shot

Maybe of no use but after being quoted silly prices for parts for my holden i started buying off a uk dealership, parts were less than a 3rd of what dealers were quoting here.Maybe there is a Opel or Vauxhall using the same or similar part!
i reckon when you know EXACTLY what you need, give a holden dealer a ring in aussie, it would be cheaper to import one from there than buying one in nz

Toyota quoted over $4k to do a Hiace pump. turns out its a $10 O ring kit.

Must be fun to fit Chevy parts into a Holden engine based around a Pontiac design but built solely from Australian Holden parts

Its an Isuzu ute badged as a Holden but also sold as a Vauxhall the parts should be littering Japan by now

Try emailing one of the Australian dealers and see what price they can do. I find with Ford parts that Aussie dealers are usually at least half the price of Ford dealers here so the same probably applies.

You don't need to email aussie or europe or anything like that, a second hand part from a NZ wrecker will be perfectly fine.

can an aftermarket inline pump be fitted, that would save thousands. it would be worth a try.

Try $18,000 for a 4.2 VX Landcruiser! Injection pump has always been the expensive part of a diesel vehicle. My old man used to reckon they would write-off o double decker bus in Liverpool, rather than replace the fuel injection pump. Also, $6000 would only get you a set of seals for one plunger and barrel on te fuel injection pumps I work with. TMTCW.

I accidentally put reg gas in my diesel Passat, got the Sucki Moto guy to drain it, I assume he knocked crud in the tank as the car stopped working when low on gas, towed to dealer, delearing replace pump 1200 2006 B6 Passat. Cant be bothered to chase down Sucki Motoguy as its a pain. My point. Dealers dont fix stuff, they replace stuff and you get a one year warrantee on that part. End of story.
