I've removed loads of signage of cars, a heat gun is the best way.I have never damaged the paint. And it also helps to pull the opposite way than you think for large pieces like on bonnets, if you do that, you will find it lifts of cleaner.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all the help, but I am defintately not going to tackle this myself now.Even though the sticker is going to be replaced I just don't want to risk any damage to the paint :)

A good panel beater can be like a dermatologist for cars.
