Strictly speaking, its not the same as a new blower, but don't forget you can up the poundage of the pulley on the SC.

There were a couple of sub 11 second AW11's with that HKS kit on them. I dunno what turbo they were using off the top of my head but I reckon a sub 11 second car for 20 grand all up is a pretty good deal.

Also SC14, no one wants to say it but- there is a certain Holden unit thats a bit bigger.

Yup the Holden SC is def bigger and better (where are you Scotty!) than the SC14 and if I was going to supercharge without also having a turbo, that's the SC I would be trying to fit. But I have gone with the SC14 for a few reasons, small size, cheap and easy to find (4 SC14's on TM now Vs 0 holden ones) and also I want the clutch set up the SC14 has. When the turbo comes on boost the SC will be turned off completely, and the boost being made by the turbo will diverted via a bypass valve into the engine.

What a great project, Volvo uses a similar setup on their 250 marine diesels with great results. If you get it working properly it should behave like anti-lag without all the associated problems of noise, fuel consumption and excessive turbo wear.I??

Im planning on using mostly mechanical control for the SC to Turbo transition, the main part of it being the bypass valve which lets the turbo boost bypass the SC. Normally these valves are like a single throttle body which is situated in parallel with the SC, when it opens boost from the turbo bypass's the SC. The problem I see with this is that some boost from the turbo will still be going through the SC (bad), so I have decided to try a double set up. I have 2 throttle bodys bolted side by side but with one facing the opposite direction, they share a common shaft, so when one is fully open, the other is fully closed. Connected to them is a turbo wastegate actuator to open and close it. What will happen is when the boost from the turbo comes on, the actuator on the valve will open on one side letting turbo boost through, and the other side (inlet of SC) will close, thereby limiting the boost the SC can make, and hopefully make the transition quite smooth. On the end of the bypass valve will be a throttle position sensor, when the valve reaches the fully closed (to SC) position, the TPS will turn the SC off

I was quite stumped on how to control the bypass valve until I found the link below, its so simple I dont know why I didnt think of it myself. Mine is very similar except as well as opening the bypass it also closes the SC inlet. I'll have to get some pics up here as although it sounds complicated, its far simpler when looked at. that http://www.youtube.com/watch!v=-bS3SgjB-eg

just because a factory Holden sound system produces more kw then your hondas engine.

ninja_man, Oct 19, 1:40am
and some honda's can still beat your car. lol

scotty20001, Oct 19, 1:47am
in your wet dreams.

johnf_456, Oct 19, 1:47am
Well why don't you race, you backed out of ct9a. And no I will no race you.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 1:48am
you clearly under estimate the Eaton M90 mayes,it is the supercharger of choice for a lot of tuners, but that doesn't surprise me considering you drive a Ford Laser and think its the best thing since sliced bread.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 1:51am
i would love to race ninja man i have humiliated DC2 Integra Type R's before, if hes ever in chch i will be happy to line him up, ct9a has an RB producing 910hp i would still race him for shits and giggles but i know i would get thrashed, i just love how the honda boys think their cars are the fastest things on the street yet they couldn't roll over a cotton bud with their torque output, if you want a fast Jap car get something powered with an RB26DETT don't piss around with this thai built accord euro crap, which wouldn't pull the skin off a custard.

get a life

ninja_man, Oct 19, 2:33am
i dont think my car is fast at all, all im saying is they arent as slow as you think (0-100 in under 7 secs for my dc2r), which is about the same as your commadore. i think you are just jealous at the fact a 1.8 na honda can keep up with a supercharged 6 cylinder! (and better handling)

richardmayes, Oct 19, 2:33am
Thanks for sharing!

I just love how you go ON and ON and ON about how terrible Honda cars are, regardless of what the thread is about.

You are correct bottom end torque is important. when you have a big heavy truck and only a 4-speed slush box to try to get it moving, it's even more important.

But go on, tell me more about how awesome your loser-spec, couldn't-quite-afford-the--
V8 Holdung is. I haven't heard quite enough.

get a decent car.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 3:31am
to be completely honest with the mileage that i do per year a heap of shit integra type r would leave me with bleeding ears and back problems (not that i need any more then i already have) thats why i brought something comfortable ( i know a foreign word to you rice boys) my Holden comes standard with dual zone climate full leather trim 8 way power adj, seatsit is also very good on fuel, and many more features i could list + it can easily do 240kmh what more could i want for 10k!

scotty20001, Oct 19, 3:32am
Calais looser spec!. go on talk your self up accord thai (lady) boy, why don't you move to Thailand since you love it so much at least then i wouldn't have to put up with the utter bullshit you talk, you could also take your laser and your accord with you, and also when are you going to have a drag race with me mayes! i am still waiting.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 3:36am
with a torque output you could only dream of, not to mention a shitload more top end power as well, it may be a 4 speed slush box as you call it but as i recall the same year accord thai also had a 4 speed that was prone to chucking its toys well under 100,000km at least the 4L60E isn't prone to failure as it is rated to around 450hp unlike your 3rd world crap you promote so much, not that you would know the first thing about driving a heavy truck mayes.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 3:42am
since when have i ever given a shit about what other wankers like yourself think! you are mistaken if you think I do.

johnf_456, Oct 19, 3:42am
Mean while our ears continue to bleed and bleed, it gets taken to far. Yes some like holden and some like honda that is their personal choice, don't need to get tied up in knots over it.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 3:44am
your ears bleed from reading! shit mate you had better get that checked out.

johnf_456, Oct 19, 3:47am
You don't get it, I did not mean physically. Its always the same rubbish going down.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 3:49am
has anyone ever changed a cambelt on one of these accord thai v6 heaps of shit!

richardmayes, Oct 19, 4:14am
Social skills!

Maybe a hug from your Mum every now and again!
