Woa dude im so wanking over your brochure list. I WORK at a holden dealership, and theyre all pretty average IMO.
Suppose you went all out and got the base model SV6 Comm sedan! Nice one mate. Id say stop making yourself look the fool and shut up about the hondas. Most would shit on your bag of dicks holden at a racetrack

lazz323, Oct 19, 4:36am
why you always mentioning thailand ! are you obsessesed with thai lady boys ! . im happy to drive a car that is cheaper on gas yet faster at the same time :). drive on with your weak arse heavy junk holden, with 2 more cylinders i would expect you girls to achive more then guzzle gas

Summarized your quotes for you.

Hondas are dirt cheap the build, the likes of hondata, crome etc mean no aftermarket ecus for a lot of people. Lots of basemaps for things like t04e turbo setups on B16, b18 and H22. Mine is putting down about 300hp, looking for about 350 at the wheels soon once I get the pistons sorted, parts are cheap. Something scotty keeps leaving out is they are light and many sport double wishbone suspension with pretty good angles and setup from factory, I'm utilizing that fact and making mine mid engined to produce a real monster rally car.

.EPIC idea

pollymay, Oct 19, 5:09am
Not new to it, done it before and it was very successful but it was a McPherson strut and n/a engine (3sge). This is the H22 in a built up prelude, heavier but I think it'll be damn quick

Mounts, suspension, hubs and brakes are done, all adapted to work like stock ie still have cable handbrake as standard. Going to rear mount the intercooler with a diffuser leading up to it and turn the front into a massive GT40 like scoop with the fuel tank behind it. It'll be a strange looking thing but the idea is a very fast 2wd. An old holden is nowhere near as interesting as this, everyone that has entered my cave and seen it so far expresses interest in what the hell devil kind of car I'm trying to make.

ohh getting personal are we mayes! i must have struck a nerve, i really don't know how you would get on socially if you think a Ford Laser is a good car, let alone an accord thai, you must have some issues if you can't beat the Commodore crowd ( i mean lets face it who can for the price) join them go on mayes treat yourself to something nice with some horse power that drives the correct wheels that actually has some steering feedback and is capable of going around a corner, but then again it would be wasted on you wouldn't it because we all know you would be too intimidated by any car over 140kw.

You, Sir, are a nutter!

Please post up many more pics as this beast progresses.

Bahahahaha!

richardmayes, Oct 19, 5:27am
Close. so I can drool in the general direction of a skilled craftsman's handiwork.

scotty20001, Oct 19, 5:29am
same reaction I had when you suggested an accord thai!

ninja_man, Oct 19, 5:37am
i dont think holden and handling belong in the same sentence.

richardmayes, Oct 19, 5:37am
Here's a bit of Accord Thai porn to get this thread back on track.
This thing makes quite a lot more power than Scotty's Holdung. and needless to say, it goes quite a lot faster too, even though the "wrong" wheels are driving:

scotty20001 has the most interesting arguments. Especially when I can draw parallels between my holden's suspension and my dad's 1966 ford galaxie. There is nothing really innovative or that great about the holdens, they are practical cars with largish motors and rwd. There is more to a car than how many tyres it can burn to the ground.

If I tried half of what I did in a heavy holden I'd prolly be dead. I've had my jappas 6 foot off the ground then just landed and carried on. Hell I rolled my old mr2 and crashed it a heap of times over the course of about 8 years and it still drives, there is no way anyone could fault it for being a great car for the $300 I paid.

ninja_man, Oct 19, 5:42am
nice car, except for the spoiler

craig04, Oct 19, 5:46am
Yes they do.
"Scotty's holden has all the handling abilities of a shopping trolley."

trdbzr, Oct 19, 5:51am
hey scotty what color is your holden!

i wonder how much they spent on that and how long it will last and how much fishing gear it will fit in the boot! can it tow my boat! i would much rather something like this if we are talking after market tuning, http://www.carsguide.com.au/news-and-reviews/car-reviews-road-tests/first_drive_walkinshaw_performance_hsv_clubsport this beast would eat your accord for brekfast mayes, you are kidding yourself if you think it wont, but your Laser will deal them both a hiding right! 470kw and 770nm accord thai defeated much! i think so, so much for "holdung"
