Here's a real joke:

A woman answered the knock at her door and found a destitute man.
He wanted to earn money by doing odd jobs, so she asked, "Can you
paint!"
"Yes," he said, "I'm a pretty good painter."
"Well, there's a gallon of green paint and a brush out back, and
a porch that needs repainting.Be very careful.When you're done,
I'll look it over and pay you what it's worth."
It wasn't more than an hour before he knocked again. "All finished!",
he reported with a smile.
"Did you do a good job!" she asked.
"Yes, but lady, there's one thing I'd like to point out to you," he
said, "That's not a Porsche back there -- it's a Mercedes!"

Freightliner argosy1100 liters in two tanks. Last fill was 880liters and cost $1238 averages 1.65 kilometers to the liter at 62 tonnes (in Aussie)

esprit, Apr 12, 3:41am
Peugeot 306 GTi6 does about 9.5l/100km around town, and about 7.8l/100km on the open road, which isn't too bad for a hot hatch.

The Lotus Exige is pretty tuned now so isn't as fuel efficient as it might be but probably returns somewhere around 7l/100km either around town or open road. A bit more thirsty on track though, but pretty economical compared with what it can keep up with :)
