well somone who tells a client the radiator is leaking but thet is not a problem . is definetly a moron who does not service stuff correctly.
I dont make a suggestion i make a statment that if these idiots seviced it with a statment like this then it was 100% not serviced correctly.

henderson_guy, Jul 31, 3:56pm
When did they say it was not a problem? Your "statement" is flawed.

toenail, Jul 31, 4:18pm
It is a 16 year old car, maybe time for an upgrade if you want to enjoy trouble free motoring.

lisaka, Aug 3, 4:19am
Seems you are looking for flaws. Your missing the whole point her and most likely have no concern that this gave a baby one hell of a jolt after i was told the car is safe and will be fine to drive. Not that you would have any concern about babies your more interested in looking for flaws instead of understanding the meaning of the post.
Inconsiderate prick.

Ok just a heads up don't single anyone out and don't swear if you don't want to be banned by trade admins. This automotive place is more tollerent by its posters then general thread members you can say here you morons as in who ever not you moron. Just a example. Happy posting.

stop looking in the mirror YFI

the-lada-dude, Aug 3, 5:29am
" and only problem is a small leak in the radiator but its perfectly safe to drive " . >>> " and only problem " . open ya eyes ya silly person

henderson_guy, Aug 3, 5:42am
First of all, my post that you quoted was not directed at you.
Secondly, the one missing the point is you. You've come in here with half the story. I presume (as do most others, judging by the responses) that the airbag recall you speak of is related to the SRS. This has absolutely nothing to do with your suspension.
Thirdly, we have no idea whatsoever (due to your lack of information) about what has actually failed, nor the cause. We don't know the scope of the inspection carried out by the mechanic. If it is indeed airbag suspension, bags can fail with no prior indication, so it is unreasonable (if this is the case) to suggest that the mechanic failed to do his duty. We don't know how well it's been maintained, or how it has been driven.
Finally, the fact a baby was in the car is purely emotive and has no bearing on this. A babys life has no more or less value than that of, say, a teenager. A vehicle should be maintained to the same standard, no matter who the passengers may be.

I suggest you go back and read the original post, THEN the post I quoted in your reply, and finally my post that YOU quoted.

kazbanz, Aug 3, 6:13am
Im genuinely curious with this one. Was the vehicle taken to The agents workshop and actually examined on the hoist? --My feeling is that the most likely senario would be that they took a really quick -saw oil everywhere and said it could cost UP TO $1800

supernova2, Aug 3, 6:21am
My feeling is that they didn't want the job so simply plucked a number out of their bum.

supernova2, Aug 3, 6:22am
So instead of attacking those who are trying to help how about you actually tell us what the results of the subsequent inspection of the problem are? What broke and why?

kazbanz, Aug 3, 6:24am
Lisaka-I think you will find that where and how (on the car) the air suspension failed would be invisible during a quick check over.
You have to be looking at the bags reasonably closely to see any indication of possible failure.
However what does concern me is that the OWNER of the vehicle would definitely have received notification of the recall. If she hasn't owned the car for long then the recall notice would have gone to a previous owner.

poppy62, Aug 3, 6:45am
Guys, i think the OP has got confused over the "Airbag" (takata) recall and the Air suspension. I'm assuming the Agents have said the SRS Airbag system is completely safe for the X5 to be driven, but when the Air suspension unit blew after hitting judder bars (obviously hard out). The OP has jumped to conclusions that the Agent gave (him/her) false info.

It's considered very vain to assume titles. Titles are bestowed by others on one and not self imposed. Sir I.P of TMMB

henderson_guy, Aug 3, 7:11am
Have no fear - I've accumulated many titles over the years

3tomany, Aug 3, 9:33am
Get a holden SUV and you will find out all about poor reliability. It does sound like the judder bar has broken the suspension, it may well be an insurance claim if this is the case.

the-lada-dude, Aug 3, 9:46am
I really can't be bothered, what ever it is, i'm right your wrong , lol

the-lada-dude, Aug 3, 9:49am
What a stupid assumption you've come to, I can't believe it ! . but your probably spot on . hahaha

henderson_guy, Aug 3, 10:25am
OP: "Serviceman says safe to drive, problem with hole in radiator"
Intrade: "service man is moron cause he said no problems"
Me: "Where was serviceman quoted as saying no problems?"
You: "Open your bloody eyes!"
Sic.

gph1961, Aug 3, 11:40am
yawn(x2)

gunhand, Aug 3, 1:34pm
More importantly, has the baby had counseling? If not it could grow up with a deep seated fear of German cars and not know why.

cabrio1, Aug 3, 3:40pm
I've had my car serviced/worked on there a few times.
For me they were 100% , just saying.
Morons?
About time you stopped that.

rob_man, Aug 4, 7:33am
I heard of a baby that got a fright in a Lada and grew up speaking Russian.

You can't be too careful.

lisaka, Aug 5, 11:33am
Nothing wrong with speaking russian i will be dissapointed if she doesnt.
